Trap Primer Valve
The PLUMBERSMATES Flow Activated Trap Primer Valves internal components are very simple. The design incorporates only one moving component; it has only one valve seat and does not require an upstream inline filter, as it is self-flushing.
The small controlled discharge from the PLUMBERSMATES Flow Activated Trap Primer Valve ensures that the water seal in a downstream trap is maintained, providing the valve is activated regularly. The water seal in a trap stops sewer gases passing back into the room to which the trap services.
THE PLUMBERSMATES FLOW ACTIVATED TRAP PRIMER HAS ONE VALVE SEAT, THAT OPENS AND CLOSES TWICE EACH CYCLE, DISCHARGING A SMALL CONTROLLED QUANTITY OF WATER TO MAINTAIN A WATER SEAL IN A SEWER TRAP.
A double cycle, one valve seat design. This design reduces excessive water discharge while maintaining simple internal componentry. The valve opens and closes once as flow commences and opens and closes a second time as flow stops. This valve has been designed not to discharge constantly while water is flowing through the valve.
